Admirable Contemporary Home in Volumetrically Rectangular Shape

The idea of contemporary home is mostly looks sophisticated yet cold from the outside. The cold lines and straight form built in particular design to bring the inviting and trendy ambience into the house.

Look at these pictures, here is 3,014 square foot contemporary home called the Torreira House. The Torreira House project was completed in 2011 by Portuguese architect Nuno Silva. Located in exotic landscape in Torreira, Portugal, this home structured in three levels, where the two levels were in the main volume and the other level used as garage zone.

The building built in rectangular shape with east-west orientation. In brief, the contemporary home plan in the ground floor accommodating main living space includes kitchen, living and dining area. On the other hand, the first floor dedicated for adequate private spaces includes three bedrooms and respective toilets.

The home interior characterized a bit more like modern concept with clean aesthetics and honest decoration. Combination between a ridge rood, ceramic tiles and volumetrically building construction has made this house looks amazing as it is.

In the back of the house, more connection to the outdoor environment was established to enjoy more breezy air circulation. Unlike any other contemporary home, the use of glass windows aren’t that much but situated perfectly in each sections.

For example, in the living room, where white sofas looks brighter and warmer by fair amount of natural light form one glass window. Besides pristine white sofas, the living room is decorated by white walls, wooden tiles floor, modern fireplace, crafty table and wooden book shelves.

Those combinations is surprisingly inviting for simple social area. Now, we’re in the kitchen where wooden countertops and mint green ceramic backsplash were combined. For contemporary home style, couple combinations is perfectly fine as long as its suited with the latest trend of interior design in specific area.
